Purdue University Biological Sciences 2012 Outstanding Alumni

The Department of Biological Sciences honored two alums this year for the 2012 Outstanding Alumni event: Dr. Kerry Bloom (PhD '80), Thad L. Beyle Distinguished Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Dr. Stephen Parker (BS '01) Neurosurgeon at the Spine and Brain Institute at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Bloom received his PhD under current Biological Sciences faculty Dr. John Anderson who was also present at the awards ceremony. Dr. Parker worked with Dr. Cynthia Stauffacher who is a faculty member in Biological Sciences and attended the awards ceremony along with Dr. Parker's father (also a Purdue graduate). The College of Science is honored to call these gentlemen both alums--congratulations!
