Communal Equipment

The Biological Sciences Dept maintains a range of communal equipment for the benefit of all labs. This includes autoclaves, ice machines, film processors, etc.   In order that we can all make use of this equipment when we need it, remember that the following policies hold:

  1. FIRST: If the equipment is not working, immediately contact Russell Logsdon (41841). Do NOT try and fix the equipment yourself or abuse the equipment in anyway.
  2. SECOND: When you have finished using the equipment, leave it in better shape than you found it.
  3. THIRD: SIGN UP. By all equipment, in a sensible and obvious place, there is a sign up sheet. Sign in!
  4. FOURTH: You must be trained on how to use the equipment. If you are not trained find someone to train you.

Failure to follow these simple rules will result in negative consequences up to and including being prohibited from using the equipment.
