Understanding student performance in an undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology course
Current project:
Evaluating factors that impact student performance in an undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology course (2023-present)
This project aims to expand our understanding of how demographic factors contribute to gaps in learning in undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology (UAP) and explore how the intersection of these demographic factors creates larger gaps in knowledge. We will conduct a systematic and comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate student performance on summative assessments using three years of data from a 200-level UAP course. Results from his project will give instructors an updated understanding of the range of student knowledge, which could lead to the creation of ancillary curriculum materials aimed at narrowing the learning gap.
