Instructional design and evaluation of interdisciplinary biology/chemistry curriculum
Current project:
Investigation of Students Problem Solving Approaches within an Undergraduate Bioanalytical Chemistry Course (2023-present)
This project aims to improve understanding of the relationship between prior knowledge, task design, and undergraduate problem-solving approaches as applied to interdisciplinary tasks. This understanding, in turn, will allow for targeted development of interdisciplinary problem-solving activities that encourage and support student learning within a Bioanalytical chemistry course. After completing this project we hope to provide instructional guidance for the development of undergraduate interdisciplinary problem-solving skills.
