Research Interests: Diagnosing student experimental abilities in biology

Email: adasgupta@purdue.edu

About me: I am interested in putting scientific teaching into practice as a higher education faculty member and collaborating with other biology faculty to evaluate effectiveness of their classroom instructional strategies. I believe vast opportunities to appropriately remodel biology curriculum lies within the realm of biology education research.

About my research: My research has been centered on the role assessment plays in monitoring teaching practices that improve student learning about experimental design in classrooms. A key focus is to look into alignment and the tight connection between course learning outcomes, instructional strategies, and assessment of how students think about experimental design. Click here to download the Experimental Design project summary.
