He received an Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (OIGP) travel award to attend this meeting. Congratulations, Beichen!

Beichen Wang gave a guest lecture entitled "Retinitis Pigmentosa and Drug Discovery Using Zebrafish" in Dr. Patrick Kerstein's HSCI336Eye Physiology and Disease.

Sophia Dietz attended the 2023 Fall Undergraduate Research Expo at Purdue University. She presented a poster on "Is a cure already out there? Repurposing an FDA-approved drug for night blindness in zebrafish model." Her presentation won a 3rd Place Poster Award in the College of Science. Congratulations, Sophia!

Beichen Wang attended the Neurobiology: Mechanisms & Advanced Approaches Course at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Woods Hole, MA. He received a fellowship from the MBL, and special travel awards from our department, the college of science and the Purdue Institute for Integrative Neuroscience for attending this course.
