Description:
The Center for Authentic Science Practice in Education promotes discovery-based learning and student engagement in research. This new Biology course will take students through the process of scientific discovery by performing novel research as part of the research program of Purdue University Biology faculty. Students will participate in studies in the cutting-edge field of molecular evolution. Along the way, students will gain the skills needed to succeed in a major in Biology, experience in teamwork and collaboration, insight into the scientific process, and contribute to the discovery of novel information that could lead to authorship on a research paper.
