Location
The Greater Lafayette community has an active civic theater, art center, symphony orchestra, and historical society. There are two city libraries in addition to the central University library and many departmental libraries. Pools, parks, a zoo, several shopping malls, and many motion picture theaters are easily accessible by a city bus system. There are several summer theaters, including one at Purdue. Conveniently situated between Chicago and Indianapolis, the University draws on a wealth of touring talent from all areas of the performing arts.
