The Lafayette & West Lafayette Area

The Greater Lafayette & West Lafayette communities have an active civic theater, art center, symphony orchestra, and historical society. There are three city libraries in addition to the central University library and many departmental libraries. Pools, parks, a zoo, several shopping malls, and many motion picture theaters are easily accessible by a city bus system. Chicago is a two hour drive from Purdue, and Indianapolis is a one hour drive. The University draws on a wealth of touring talent from all areas of the performing arts.
