Graduate Studies Application Forms


When applying to the Department of Biological Sciences it is required that you fill out the main Graduate School application form and the Department’s Supplemental form. The Graduate School application must be filled out on-line and submitted electronically. You will be directed to the Departmental Supplemental form while completing the Graduate School Application. A Statement of Purpose must also be submitted with the electronic application. There is a $55 application fee, which must be paid before the application will be released to the department for review.

Domestic Applicants - February 15, 2008

International Applicants - January 31, 2008

REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
All application materials must be received in the Biology Graduate Office by the appropriate deadline. These include:

The Request for Official Transcript form, the Domestic Checklists and International Checklists can be downloaded or viewed off this page.   If you do not have the proper application in order to read and view these downloaded documents, please follow the link at the bottom of this page to access and utilize the Acrobat Reader.   The checklist should be used as a reference to ensure that you have all the necessary required documents for a completed application.

When applying, you should apply for your ultimate degree goal. We offer ONLY the Ph.D. program to international applicants. A Master's is not needed to apply to the Ph.D. program UNLESS the BS earned was a three-year program. If that is the case, the applicant must have completed or be in the final year of a two-year MS program when applying. The MS degree must be completed before classes would begin here in August 2007.

Please send the official transcripts in original language with certified English translations if applicable (applicants from India should include certified mark sheets) and diplomas with certified English translations for international applicants to:
